What was ThinThread? That was the name of NSA spyware from the 1990's. Read these excerpts from Ben Coe's Eye for an Eye.

Elton John. I was startled to find such old ThinThread here. Wallis, you recall from the "More of Love" tab which appears under the "ANAGRAM" tab, is Shank Hollis's doppelganger.

ThinThread was not mentioned in The Spy Factory. That NOVA special ran in 2009, and ...

...I was so impressed with the production, that I saved the TV Week. The Spy Factory was about 611 Folsom Street, which was the LA address of the AT&T building where U.S. government workers in the late 1980's began listened in on countless calls that had been scanned for conversation words such as explosives, blow-up, TNT, C-4, Semtex, dynamite, shooters,... and other words of 'mass destruction.' This was done to locate potential terror activity, and prioritize investigations. I thought the 'signs of reign' joke on the page above was bemusing. That's the Secrets of the Dead show that immediately followed The Spy Factory. Below is...

It took close to 10 years, but The Spy Factory is on-line now.

And then there was this story about the hollow quarters that conceal tracking devices so they know your every movement. Actually, this story was recanted by the AJC a couple of weeks after it ran on January 7, 2007.
