More of Frances Love-Hollis

It's time to click here for a short read about the National Security Agency's project ThinThread.

If you do not know the "Prince Charles" anagram,   and the point made out of Buckingham Palace with the Prince Charles anagram, you should not be at this page.  MORE ABOUT LOVE page is an homage to my great aunt,  Shank Love-Hollis, who was sister-in-law to Tsarovich Alexei Romanov (that story is under HOME tab).  This page is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION.  It is also a more complicated page, so before you spend time here, click on the heart above to read about ThinThread, then go to the HOME page, and use the icons at the bottom there to navigate to THE TWILIGHT ZONE, DUGOUT WITH WEIRD SCIENCE, or IPL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW.  Those pages are easier than this one right now, and those pages will give you more experience, making it easier to navigate through the IPL values about Shank that are here.

Francis Love-Hollis, aka; "Shank," above right with baby me, lived, like Dolly Parton's song title, TWO DOORS DOWN from us on Glendale Dr. in Decatur.  Shank looked remarkably like King Edward VIII's Wallis Simpson (above in white turtleneck).   My parents partied all the time at Shanks, and left me alone for hours and hours...

I was into my second quarter of first grade when Shank died of cancer at the hospital in Atlanta on January 20, 1969, which was also the same day the President Richard Nixon was sworn in.  Several months prior to Shank's death, we had moved into the suburbs south of Atlanta, but prior to that, Shank had lived only two doors away from me since the age of six months old.  I spent a couple of hours at Shank's house every day.  As mentioned earlier, Shank looked so much like Wallis Simpson, and was the sister'in-law of Alexei Romanov, so on the day prior to her death, here's the cryptic 'name game' puzzle that ran in the Atlanta Constitution:

Numbers are not part of the puzzle solutions, but as you see from the yellow circle on the puzzle above, my date-of-birth was on line '4.'  Read the instructions on how to play this 'name game,' and then you can confirm that I have deciphered answers correctly here:

The number for Shank is '8,' and the message is "YOU CAN WIN."

The number for Kenneth and cousin Stephen is '3,' and the message is "ETERNAL LOVE."

The number for Robert (granddad) is '2,' and the message is "CONSIDER NEW IDEAS."

The number for Alexander is '5,' and the message is "HOME WOES END."

The number for Lynn is  '7,' and the message is "A QUICK SETTLEMENT."

And so on...

As mentioned earlier, Richard Milhous Nixon was sworn in as President.  Like Kenneth and cousin Stephen, Richard is also a '3.'  The anagram of "ETERNAL LOVE" is "AN OLE TV REEL."   It all came together like a puzzle.

Shank was used.  And cryptically speaking, Shank is still frequently used.  Shank's last name (Love) is in the two word song title, and the lyrics state "I just want to use your love tonight."   When Shank looks so much like Wallis Simpson, you could understand how that keeps her in demand in other places.  If you watch The Outfield's video Your Love, you'll see that it opens with mirrors (a looking glass, if you've already been to the John Dempsey Hollis tab).  Plus, at the opening of the video, there's that ThinThread reference again.  The rope.  (The ThinThread icon is at the top of the page here)  Ladders at the video's opening represents that DNA helix.  The first sentence is "Josie's on a vacation far away."  Everyone from Archie Comics Publishing knows that like me, Josie is from Riverdale.  The song is filled with lyrics that have a humorous double meaning for Alexei Romanov and family.    Your Love by The Outfield was released on The Deep album as the second single in November 1985, which is 4 months after I've returned from Greece (see the TWA847 tab), and one month before I move to England.

Six weeks before Your Love was released, a Customer Service Agent from Fotomat named Carol Gordon was killed in a plane crash with 16 others, including my skydiving jumpmaster, Jeff, who owned Westwind Sport and Parachute Center.  I was reminded of that when I saw the LP cover.  The face on the album cover above seems to be looking at what also could be a strip of 35mm film.  The disaster that killed the 16 skydivers in GA remains unsolved.  I have a page about the crash in Butts County, and you will find the icon at the bottom of the TWA847 page.

Carol Gordon worked with Carol Johnson, who was also in search of my lost roll of film from the college Club Europa Greece vacation.  Click on either comic book above to see Dan Baum's article which I kept in an envelope taped to the back of my Skydiving Jump Certificate.  The lyrics below from Your Love didn't really play for me the way they're written, but I did have 3 speeding tickets and a warning in the mail that a fourth in a year's time would revoke my driver's license.  Point being, December 1985 was a good year for me to leave the U.S., and I did:

I ain't got many friends left to talk to

Nowhere to run when I'm in trouble

You know I'd do anything for you

Stay the night but keep it under cover

I just want to use your love tonight

I don't want to lose your love tonight

Try to stop my hands from shaking

But something in my mind's not making sense

It's been a while since we were all alone

But I can't hide the way I'm feeling

As you're leaving please would you close the door?

And don't forget what I told you

Just 'cause you're right that don't mean I'm wrong

Another shoulder to cry upon

I just....

The timing of the song's release coincides with the airing of Hostage Flight, which was November 17, 1985Hostage Flight received lots of coverage in the press prior to the air date.   Entertainment Tonight reported that two endings had been created for this film.  The U.S. version would show the hijackers overpowered by the passengers and tied up, to be taken to trial.  The version for Europe would show the hijackers overpowered by the passengers, then hanged in the back of the aircraft before it lands.    I watched Hostage Flight here in the U.S., and me and the new flat mates in London watched Hostage Flight on the BBC.  Sure enough, there were two different endings.

Whasup with the National Examiner?

If you're keeping track at FACEBOOK, you see that I keep track of the cryptic anagram boxes in the puzzle section of the major tabloids.  When GMA covered the 9-11 memorial services in Shanksville this year (2019), I realized I needed to take a second look at my work for the issues closest to the 9-11 date.  The box above establishes credibility that although Shank died in 1969, details of her life are still known to these 'cryptic' forces at play.  The puzzle above?  I'll use one word: Bemusing. Bemusing because Shank Love-Hollis died from a malignant on a mole that started on her wrist.

Above:  What a warped since of humor for Shanksville 9-11.  I don't write them, I just decode them.

That's the end of this tour.  Moving forward are items for later.  We're still UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
